Meetings

Rocky Forge Blacksmith Guild meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of each month. Meetings generally begin at 8:30 AM with coffee and social time, with a business meeting at 9 AM, frequently followed by blacksmithing demonstrations, and then forge time for everyone. We have taken to holding a potluck lunch sometime around noon. During the winter, we occasionally arrange for blacksmithing-related meetings, such as visiting welding shops and steel plants. Alternately, we may arrange for a demonstration of some interesting technique, method, or equipment.

Most meetings are held at the home of one of our members. Contact us for directions and information.

October 8, 2022
We will meet at Ted's shop; donuts at 8:30, brief business meeting at 9, then open forge time. Lunch is green beans, potatos, and sausages; please bring sides/deserts, plus your tools and propane, if you want to use a propane forge. We expect to have a large Iron-in-the-Hat; come prepared! November 12, 2022
We will meet at Ted's shop; donuts at 8:30, brief business meeting at 9, then forge time. We will be learning forge welding; everyone should get a chance to try. Lunch is fried chicken; please bring side dishes or deserts to share. We expect to have a good Iron-in-the-Hat; tools have been made just to give away! See the November newsletter for details.
