Meetings

Rocky Forge Blacksmith Guild meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of each month. Meetings generally begin at 8:30 AM with coffee and social time, with a business meeting at 9 AM, frequently followed by blacksmithing demonstrations, and then forge time for everyone. We have taken to holding a potluck lunch sometime around noon. During the winter, we occasionally arrange for blacksmithing-related meetings, such as visiting welding shops and steel plants. Alternately, we may arrange for a demonstration of some interesting technique, method, or equipment.

Most meetings are held at our blacksmith shop at the Illiana Steam and Power show grounds. Contact us for directions and information.

November 8, 2025

We will meet at the Illiana shop, with coffee and donuts at 8:30, and a business meeting at 9. Please bring a sack lunch. Details, including upcoming projects, are in the November newsletter.
 

December 13, 2025

Due to the weather going to be dangerously cold, we have made the decision to cancel the meeting this month. Details are in the December newsletter.
 

January 11, 2026

Coffee and donuts at 8:30; lighting fires at 9 AM. No business meeting this month. Details are in the January newsletter.
