Meetings

Rocky Forge Blacksmith Guild meetings are usually held on the second Saturday of each month. Meetings generally begin at 8:30 AM with coffee and social time, with a business meeting at 9 AM, frequently followed by blacksmithing demonstrations, and then forge time for everyone. We have taken to holding a potluck lunch sometime around noon. During the winter, we occasionally arrange for blacksmithing-related meetings, such as visiting welding shops and steel plants. Alternately, we may arrange for a demonstration of some interesting technique, method, or equipment.

Most meetings are held at our blacksmith shop at the Illiana Steam and Power show grounds. Contact us for directions and information.

This month's weather looks wonderful! We will meet at 9 AM at the Illiana shop for a morning of fun and forging. Bring your own lunch; details in the February newsletter.

We will meet at 9 AM at the Illiana shop for a morning of fun and forging. Bring food to go with chili, and cash for both iron-in-the-hat and an auction of some nicer pieces. Details are in the March newsletter.
 

April 13, 2024

We will meet at 9 AM at the Illiana shop for a morning of fun and forging. We have almost all of our forges ready to operate! Lunch is chicken things; bring a side dish, and cash for iron-in-the-hat. Details are in the April newsletter.
